Your comment really lifted my spirits. From the amount you wrote; thank you so much for taking the time!
Krisiga's name came to me out of nowhere. I was just mixing random letters and pronunciations and then BOOM! out comes that, hahaha. The name Arthur was given because of my favorite character in Inception. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is an amazing actor and I took his character's name, hahaha.
Criminal Minds is one of my all-time favorite shows too! I took 'LaMontagne' from JJ's husband, hahaha. I was watching a rerun from when they first meet and I thought to myself, "Well, damn, that's a good name!"
I never thought of myself as a writer of action. Comedy is more of my comfort zone, so it was a treat to get it out there. I'm happy with the fact that people can picture the scenes in their heads and add in the details.
The idea of 'cannibals' wasn't an easy word to come by. The generalization of the word 'zombie' was overused, so I thought that people would immediately lose interest in the mere word of it. Then I remembered Walking Dead and 'walkers' but then it would sound like a rip-off of the Walking Dead. So I just sort flipped an imaginary table, yelled "Fuck it!" and jotted down the word cannibal. It seems to fit the story, making it a bit more realistic, just like how you pointed it out. :) Oh! And writing the scene with the old man was a bit of a toughy, hahaha. I had the thought of building suspense and not lunging into an attack of the cannibal jumping onto Krisiga and having her to fight it off, while maybe Arthur jumping in to help. The situation is, again like the word zombie, predictable and overused. I thought it would lose Krisiga's characteristic of being the savior.
Yes! You do smell a romance! If you haven't read the chapter I updated a few hours ago, the romance is evident (well, I suppose, haha)! Arthur is very handsome and a bit of a flirt but if you haven't noticed, Krisiga isn't used to hearing things like that unless it's used in a sarcastic or joking manner. She's oblivious, it's obvious, hahaha!
It gives me butterflies when people enjoy my style of writing. :D I hope you'll continue to enjoy Quarantine the Cannibals and hopefully my other stories as well! I'll talk to you soon! :)
Annnyyyyways. Yeah. No more Winter Nights. :(
