I don't think even McDonald's has a veggie option in the US? Or it didn't the last time I was there. Having said that, I last ate at a McDonalds more than 10 years ago. I'm vegetarian. I toy with the idea of going vegan, and ideally I would like to be, but I love cheese!

It was vile. About 2 years ago, I unknowingly ate something with bacon in it and almost immediately threw up. It was like my body just totally physically rejected the bacon! That's the only meat I've consumed since I was 11 though. As I have travelled around, it's always interesting to find what different countries offer vegetarians. I lived in Moscow for a year for my degree (English Lit & Russian - I only went into law as a post grad), and it was almost impossible to eat out. France and Germany make it very hard and the US isn't the best, especially for fast food.

I dont think it was actual blood. Just red coloured meat juice, but yeah, disgusting either way! I was most disturbed by the crazy church though. Not my thing at all! Just got back in from watching The Hunger Games movie. It was alright, not as I expected though. Then had a few drinks in some random tiki bar afterwards - random boozing seems to be my thing lately!

Well we went to San antonio on a freebie. My dad is a chemical engineer and he was doing a project for a company over there. We went and he had one of the employees of the company 'buddy up' with him and to show us the sights and take us places. This guy was insane. He took us to a gun range and wanted me and my brother (11 & 9) to fire guns and then he took us to his born again evangelical church. My parents are hippy atheists so that didn't go down too well! He took us to a steakhouse and got us all massive steaks and he ordered them all rare. I stuck my fork in my steak and blood literally squirted out of the steak and went on my shirt and arm. I thought, yep, this is me done with meat!

I do like distinct seasons and greenery. I went to San Antonio when I was 11 and that trip led to me becoming a vegetarian! I've not eaten meat for 17 years because of Texas! Doing some exercise this evening. Ugh. I hate it with the passion of a thousand burning suns.

Ok, I'm sweating just reading that! I've been to Texas, it was an interesting experience! I'm in Manchester and the only reason we know it's Summer here is that the rain is warm.

I'm such a winner. Going out for dinner and to watch 21 Jump Street as a reward. Especially after I spent last night watching a performance of The Nutcracker. I don't know what the fuck is happening to my life! The male ballet dancers were outrageously hot though. Very good bodies. Wore some awkwardly too revealing tights though. If you see what I'm saying - and I could virtually 'see' everything!

I am the master of euphemistic understatement! It's a Brit thing. Up again at 5am today - in court later though and hopefully going to get someone put in jail. Not many people can say that at this time in the morning!

They looked at me like I was dirt on their shoe! I felt like shouting that I hadn't forgotten and that we'd been out for lunch and I got her a gift! Because I'm 2 yrs older than my brother, he seems to think I have a legal obligation to remind him of all parent related birthdays, anniversaries and events. And he totally uses being in Korea as an excuse! I drowed my sorrows in champagne though. Now getting up for a long day with a slightly cloudy head :-/

In my defence, it wasn't my fault! It was mothers day in England on Sunday and my brother (who is 26 and therefore, grown up) called me from south Korea, where he lives, saying that he had forgotten and I needed to get a card from him ASAP! So I'm in the supermarket trying to buy a mothers day card a day after it happened and they had to go into the back and search one down - which took ages! I got the dirtiest look from the staff too - as though it was me that had actually forgotten lolz. Bloody brothers!

I figured you may be slightly amused to hear that, after getting up at 5am, I ended up being late for work! FML!

By posh, I mean that I know lots of people that need plus ones to go to stuff with them! I've been up for over an hour though and havent watched anything on YouTube, so I'm classing that as a victory for me! I'm getting up now as you go to bed, so have a good sleep. Jealous! xo

I'm going to blame it in tiredness. It's now 6:15 am and I am no closer to actually getting out of bed than I was 75 minutes ago! I'm going to a champagne tasting after work tonight too (because I am incredibly posh) so I'll be tired and emotional and probably sleep on the train on the way home and miss my stop. Sigh.

They are interpreting radiographers (I don't know if the terminology is the same in the US) so they earn more than usual I think. The temptation to up and leave now is incredible - especially as I work for the government and we are getting paycuts etc. as the economy has gone to shit! I spent 2 months travelling last year - south Africa and the US and Canada (I've now been to 39 states!). Thats why I work as a public prosecutor - lots less money, but way more flexibility! A year ago today I was in Montreal, SO wish I were there now!

My housemates boyfriend and mother are both radiographers. They are pretty well paid. They both work in the emergency room though so they have some pretty antisocial hours. My job is my main issue with the real world! If you're a lawyer you're expected to work 23 hours per day and I'm finding that just isn't me! I put off working properly for as long as possible - did 2 (different) degrees, a masters etc. Obviously I had my share of crappy part time jobs, but not like this now. So many of my colleagues live to work and I just don't get that! I'm taking a month off in November to travel and I may just not return!

I wish I had the excuse of having been out of town. I was just sat on my sofa in pyjamas for 48hrs, responding to work emails like I was actually doing something! I'm a slob. What do you study? I'm weighing up the idea of returning to school to do a phd, mainly to avoid having to work a real job. Cause let's face it, the real world sucks!
