  • I blevie that is the age, but my legs are so short the'll never notice. LOL!!
Right now my coach is letting me lease a five time world champ as a favor to me. He felt bad that I didn't have the traing he knew I wanted so he "gave" me Tex.
GO for it!! Never give up, even when cash is a HUGE factor! I know you groom now try maybe grooming at more stables. Rub elbows with the "big" horse people per say. :-)

  • OK I feel better now!!
Almost all the horses here at Shiloh are of the track paint horses. Some have really good race records and others didn't make to any real races.
The paint in one of my pics is Island Treasure ( izzy) and the jet black horse with the barrel saddle is Beka I'm A Texen (tex).
With Tex it's not her height that makes her big it's her mass. (if she looks pudgy in the pic it's all muscle.)

  • lol yeah...i've got a handful. riding other horses is great, you learn different training styles, all that you can try on your own horse, and just different ways to ride in general. No horse is the same....unfortunately.... im very lucky to ride at a very small boarding barn. he really doesnt like the drama some boarders bring, so he has a select few people in....i think there's maybe....5 boarders besides me....he prefers just to have people trailer in for lessons. lol he always tells me the day he lets some crazy horse chick in the barn he'll cry, i tell him....oh we're all crazy, some of us just hide it better....lol

  • Haha you got quite alot to ride!!! Lol I've got a 14.2 QH reg American Sport Pony too, I'm just bringing her back into work. She was first level when I stopped training her and focusing on my horse Pantros, but I just started riding her again and she's already pushing second, third level. I've also got many great horses to ride if my trainers. He's number one breeder in the country, and all of his stock is in training when they aren't breeding. Or I get put on the green broke babies. I actually worked with a Gambol baby this summer. Sadly she was sold halfway through the season so I never got to show her...:( oh well...

  • Well when a guy comes around there's always drama....find her a hot jumper boy. ;) haha I will def stay tuned for the one abt Lilly. Cuz I know how it is when you gotta fight to get to the top. That's about where I am. Kid that has little money, but the talent to get far. I'm lucky I found my horse for as cheap as I did. He's Grand Prix material, just needs to be developed. I also just bought a baby that has great lines and great movement and confirmation so I bought him at 2 weeks old. He was Second in the country for Weanling colts, only to one if his other half siblings. What are your horses? Lol

  • Yay! Finally another horse person!! Haha dressage is so great. There's so much you can do. I used to compete in jumpers, but I had a bad accident with my horse and we decided dressage was a better, safer route. I will check out your story! There are little to no horse stories on here. I'm actually intbe process of writing one myself, I just gotta get it posted....
