It's gonna sound really lame, but I loved Nine when he first debuted because sassy Manc Doctor. I'm from Manchester as well so it was just brilliant to have that because you could never have that in the classic series. And he had such a simple costume compared to the past incarnations. He really just embodied that this was a new era of Doctor Who and I don't get how people can't appreciate him. You couldn't have what there is now without him.

Thanks for liking my Ninth Doctor theme! I agree that he's very underrated. I had some stern words with my co-worker actually the other day for saying he didn't like him. Nine was my favourite of the revival series.

I must say, I did ship them at the start when I didn't know she had a boyfriend (and then I assumed she would break up with him what with all the "you can't be at Torchwood and have an actual social life where you do stuff with real people! That's absurd!" Then my respect for Gwen dropped.
I felt so sorry for Owen though, because yet another girl who he couldn't stay with - always doomed to lose those whom he wants to open up to. But he was so oblivious to Tosh!
That does make sense... I should have more of an open mind then, I suppose, and experience it for myself.

Yes! Rhys! He's such a sweetie. Especially in the episode when he and Gwen are getting married. I hated how Gwen cheated on him with Owen though. I mean, really? Why? Owen may have better looks, but he's so much more blunt and cut off from his emotions than Rhys.
I've heard too many bad things about MD to finish it. Apparently the ending is rushed and not thought out properly. Torchwood had overstayed its welcome by that time, I'm afraid.

As much as an asshole Owen could be, I would say his death affected me the most.... I didn't really care much for Tosh. Ianto's death was also horrible, but I guess it could be symbolized as a casualty of war or something similar? Owen is easily my favourite character minus Jack. And I also have a soft spot for Gwen's husband (I can't remember his name.)
I agree with you on the whole TW Jack vs DW Jack. He's more serious in TW, not as fun. Which I suppose is something that comes with the role. Leaders can't exactly muck around all the time, and it is aimed for an older audience.
I like more depressing things. Dark things like that, they fascinate me.
I can't watch Miracle Day after seeing S1+2 and CoE. It's too Americanized and way too unbelievable for me - especially in the first episode with the gun and bomb thing they sent flying through the house. I like the concept though, it's very smart.

I hope I'm not intruding or anything, but on the threads you brought up "Children of Earth" and you're the only Mibbian that I know of that has seen Torchwod, and I'd really like to start a conversation.
I love Children of Earth so much. It was interesting, it was dark, and I love how we got to see another side of Jack other than the flirty, alien fighting, memory recovering man that we see through most of seasons one and two. I thought the ending was a bit too predictable though, as emotionally triggering and powerful as it was. I'm not sure if its just me that thinks it though, but I do know that I quite often spoil shows for myself by guessing ahead of time.
Anyway. This was longer than I expected it to be.

tbh i've found it pretty awkward to be on mibba after the tay thing, lol but i'm trying to just ignore that, because i love it here! so, i know i'll be around more often! i'm even entering contests and such so just let me know. i like doing contest stuff!
