I strongly agree with you there. Not many songs in general have much of a meaning anymore. A perfect example (especial for rap/hip-hop) would be "Friday" by Rebecca Black. The music industry doesn't like to take itself much seriously anymore.
Rock is the only alive genre that's still awesome to this day.

I like RAM, but never cared much for My Chemical Romance. But they're not the absolute worst band out there.
My parents like country (what older person doesn't? lol) and every time they would put it on a country station when I was younger, I'd go ballistic. >.>

Weedwackers make awful racket. haha, the song would go like "Weedwackers, wack, wack, wicky, wack!" And children are so presumptuous, like I care about their new toy? Once they start going on about the toy, I will interrupt them and tell them a story about how when I was their age, I only had a stick and a hoop to play with. And how when I was, they didn't just take away the hoop, they took away my soul *troll face* Then I'd start swearing at them.
