Where I'm from, it really isnt that big here, so I didn't really get into it until January. and, of course, the Brown eyes of Kris Letang captured me and that was that. Well when the Penguins got eliminated from the Playoffs, the only other team I halfway liked was the flyers, (the team that beat out the penguins, I'm so bad lol.) Then I was like eh, lets watch them. Then I went to the CAPS of all people, (I mean John Carlson?) and then the Rangers, but out of the Kings and Devils, I was def cheering for the devils. I am now super sad. He probaby will retire, I see it happening soon. :/

You seem like a lovely person to talk to, which makes things so much more complicated. Normally I wouldn't dream of passing up a chance to rub my team's win in someone's face, particularly when it involves the great Lord Stanley. Unfortunately, I enjoy talking hockey with you and I woulld almost feel bad...

I understand. And unfortunately, it's hard to help considering fanfic writers of this genre tend to be 12-15 year olds who don't yet have a decent grasp on the importance of researching what is being written about so that they make the fic the best they can make it. Frankly, I don't think they care haha. The assumption is forgiven, and I appreciate the applause :)

Coming from someone who's only traveled once or twice to Canada for skiing purposes, I think that's fascinating, but I can also see how it is difficult :( But that's amazing you know what you're doing with your life, and I know how great it is to have incredible friends. It's so important.

Okay, seriously, thank you for the comment of insight you've left on my story. I appreciate it, even if the somewhat condescending tone did offend me a little bit. This may be confusing to you at first, but I do know that 'internationals' do not think America is the greatest place in the world with their life dream being to travel there. And I am aware how important plausibility is to a story.

I'm taking an educated guess in assuming that you won't be reading the rest of the fic, so I want to clarify that (and I hope no one who actually reads the fic finds this) the reason the girl character says that she's always wanted to see New York City has absolutely nothing to do with America and everything to do with being with the guy character. Her entire motivation at this stage in the story is to be in control of him, and use him for her own gain. She has no inclination to want to travel anywhere at all. The manipulative nature I am trying to convey in her is behind the excited facade. But this isn't supposed to be revealed until the end.

Even later in the story, another character appears who was forced to live in the US due to family circumstances, and has every intention to return home. But people aren't supposed to know about that yet either.

Still, thanks for your consideration, and I'd like to know whether the above is an adequate explanation of my choices.

The only reason I'm going for the Kings is cuz I think it would be amazing for Lord Stanley to come to the West Coast. My teams are the Capitals and Blackhawks I'm from Las Vegas, ans Nevada doesn't have an NHL team. It's always lovely to meet a fellow hockey fan! No matter how conflicting our views may be. At least yourteam isn't the Penguins.... is it? And on the subject of your most wicked story, you're doing fantastic darlin! Really, it is by far my favorite series I've read so far Can't wait until the next one!
