    Japanese lesson #4
    Numbers:
    Ichi- 1
    Ni- 2
    San- 3
    Shi (yon)- 4
    Go- 5
    Roku- 6
    Shichi (nana)- 7
    Hachi- 8
    Kyuu (ku)- 9
    Jyuu- 10....
    Hyaku- 100
Then for two digit numbers you do the american way:
    Ex. 17- Jyuu(10)+Shichi(7)= Jyuu Nana (17)
For the numbers with two different sayings:
    Ex. Shi(yon)- 4
The first saying is only used for one digit numbers and the second saying in parenthesis is used for two digit numbers and up.

I'm Jyuu San years old. O_o

    Japanese lesson #1:
To speak Japanese in the written form, the easiest way is to split the word into two are three letters. Just sound it out the way it's spelled.
Ex. arigatou gozaimasu- translates to: ari-ga-tou go-zai-ma-su
    arigatou gozaimasu means "thank you"
    onegai means "please"
    dou itashimashite means "your welcome"
Another easy well to learn how to sound out japanese words is that you could look up anime openings or endings with Japanese lyrics. The easiest song to sing along with is Naruto movie ending #1.

    Hope you have fun.
