This girl would have to be someone with some family issues herself, only then would she be able to understand him rather than just stand there being rich and having the perfect family while he struggles with all his issues of an abandoning father and schizophrenic mom...
For some reason, and even though we didn't see much of that in the show, I believe he might be romantic in a way, not the traditional dinner with candles and roses type of romantic, but I guess he would be the kind of man who would risk a lot for her. In a way, he seems perfect but, when you think about it, it would be a really difficult relationship to maintain, this girl has to be very patient and loving.

I have only seen a couple of episodes so far so I really can't tell too much about this season. I think it will take a long time for Reid to actually do anything more... ahm... sensual with anyone. This will have to be a patient girl who truly loves him and is able to get past his armor. Of course she needs to be smart but I don't think she should have such a high IQ or his level of education. I guess she should be a very clever girl who just never had the chance to go to college due to money issues or something similar but she shouldn't be taken as dumb or stupid. At least imo Reid needs someone who challenges him and understands him in a different way that the people on the team do.

I mean, they take this random pretty girl with absolutely no back story and suddenly the hot blonde actress is sexually aroused by the skinny nerd and everything happens in one random episode and is then dead and burried. On season 4 there was this girl, Dallas if I'm not mistaken, who truthfuly was interested in him on a deeper level and she was totally Reid's type, I mean she was no model but she was cute and graceful and she didn't seem like a shallow character at all. Having her as Reid's love interest would have felt so much more realistic.

I hate it that they barely focus on his possible schizophrenia anymore and the nightmares... now a love interest, I'm so curious! I hope the writers truly do him justice and create an amazing girl for him, not just some random gorgeous Mary Sue like Lila Archer in season 1 --"

Thanks for the comment on Bright Lights... I'm glad it was a twist because I wanted it to come out of nowhere. I was only going to include one more chapter but I might make it two more just to be able to smooth out the ending.
