At my school, they water the grass and in certain parts there's always puddles. I'm the only one to jump in them!

Anyway, would you like a bit of advice on how to best get along here on Mibba? It's the Holy Grail to getting well-liked [i]and[/i] well read! Grammar. Spell-check. Punctuation. It sounds so old-school, but it actually works. If you ever stalk the journal section, you'll notice that the ones with the most positive feedback are the ones with near-to-perfect grammar and punctuation. Ditto with stories. Ditto with poems. It's like... Hmmm... It's easier to respect someone if their work is easy to read, y'know? And it's easy to read work that is...easy to read... >_> Excessive smileys, "lol"s, and misspelled words make it difficult to understand your work.

So, if you ever do decide to post a journal or story, try to cut down on the chatspeak, okay? People will take you more seriously.

Anyway, I write a lot of poems. A [i]lot[/i] of poems. And a few stories. And a few journals. I've sort of quit, though, as a lot of my graduate student friends have warned me about posting my best work online. They're right, and I know they are. So, nowadays, I mostly lurk the journal section, give feedback when asked, and keep in touch with all the friends I've made!

It's so much fun making friends with fellow writers from around the world. There are so many great people here!

Anyway, that name doesn't sound the least bit familiar, but that doesn't mean much. What were they talking about, and how so? Sorry, curious. I'm a very curious person by nature. I like to learn...and snoop into people's business. Heh.

Anyway, I see that you're a few days into Mibba, so welcome! I hope...well, if I can be [i]honest[/i], I hope you will be one of those who'll contribute to Mibba's awesomeness. A lot of new members are using it as a second Facebook, which is very annoying. But you like to write, right? What genre of textual awesomeness will you be posting?

Hey, that reasoning works for me! I only ask to weed out the random frienders. Y'know, those who go around and add total strangers in order to make themselves seem more popular. I get those, sometimes.
