    All very valid points.

Plus, Gotham is just fucked up.

    Oh. Duh. My bad.

Yeah, Arkham Asylum kind of sucks in that regard. xD

I'm actually kind of excited to see Tom Hardy as Bane, mostly because I think Tom Hardy does a great job at playing really intense roles and so I'm excited to see what he does with this.

I hope so too and yeah, I'm not really expecting a lot from it. Worst comes to worst, I can always sit and sob over Arkham Asylum and hopefully have Arkham City by then.

I think the Sherlock Holmes movies are good for what they are, but I'm a little bit of a snob when it comes to thinks being adapted, so I'm actually genuinely more excited for BBC's second season of the show Sherlock.

Michael Keaton had the emotional depth, the conflict and the subtlety to be absolute perfection. I admit the costume wasn't 100% amazing, but still, it's not something I immediately think of with that performance and isn't something you can really use against his performance.

I'm iffy on the series. The directing is great, but I don't like the use of Christian Bale (clearly, lol) and I've had problems with some of the other things he's done with other characters. Going back to TDK, I really hated what they did with Two-Face. There wasn't enough depth there and I hated the CGI work on half of his face. It looked like the character was raped by the Crypt Keeper and plus, he was killed off within a good thirty minutes.

I'm holding off judgement until I see it, but so far I'm not liking Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle. Like you said, I also can't picture her as a character that's as absolutely badass as Catwoman is. Plus, I don't know, I just don't think she has the right look and if I'm going to be super picky since all I've seen are pictures online, I don't like the outfit. It doesn't scream Catwoman to me. I'm not sure how I'd feel about Talia Al Ghul being in it, to be honest, but the rumors before were that Marion Cotillard was going to be that character, but then she apparently came out and said her character isn't from the comic books, so I don't know.

    Yep. *coughs*X-Men: First Class*coughs*

I strongly disagree with that. Michael Keaton did an amazing job and didn't overact the part. It was a solid and spectacular performance. Christian Bale does a great job at playing Bruce Wayne, but he either wasn't given a good script or he just sucks at Batman. I didn't like the physical acting or the voice acting when it came to being in the suit. I know people gripe about people complaining about that voice he did, but let's face it, voice is important, otherwise characters like Batman or even Darth Vader would fail miserably. But I do agree on the cartoon, Kevin Conroy is the voice of Batman. Hands down.

Heath kind of brought the character to life, in a way, and showed the world what Joker would be like if he was real. Mark Hamill is the reason why a lot of people know or give a shit about the Joker to begin with. He nailed the Joker just by creating that fantastic laugh. I watched an interview with him talking about it and he just loves playing that character, so it'll be sad to see him not playing him anymore.

Yeeeep. Granted, I'm honestly not surprised that this was done to the Joker. After all, he's a fictional character and considering the shit I've seen done to real life people, musicians in particular, I'm actually sort of surprised it wasn't done sooner.

My response. I think in the sequel the main character is also pregnant and apparently I'm a horrific human being because I thought a lot of abortion jokes, like, "I'll lend you a coat hanger, bitch, hop to it."

More than likely, and besides, it's not like he treats Harley all that well either. It's clearly a crazy abusive relationship. Even in the cartoon, he was horrible to her, like in one episode she kidnaps Batman and almost kills him and Joker flips out and shoves her out a window.

They really are, but let's be honest here, their only exposure to the Joker (I'm willing to put money on this) is The Dark Knight, and they're only giving a shit now because Heath Ledger was hot. They probably also don't give a shit about Jack Nicholson being great before him or the fact that Mark Hamill is the king of all Jokers. Although I will admit that John DiMaggio did an excellent job (much better than I thought he would) when he voiced the character in Under the Red Hood. They possibly also think that Christian Bale was a good Batman.

Oh god. That's so rampant on this site. The reformed Joker. It's so weird. They also like to go on the model of that one theory that I've read in like, one place on wikipedia, but the writers on here seem to have snagged up and not let go of, where he's faking it and is just like, pretending to be insane/horrific.

I've also seen a story where he's sort of that way /and/ having an incestuous relationship with his underage daughter.

Lol, s'ok. I've seen some horrendous errors in some peoples stories. It's always depressing when that person is a native speaker. Granted, I see it a lot in my university discussion boards for some of my classes. Such as the fact that people think that the plural of video is video's. Oh and in a spanish class, we were asked to list adjectives. One of the guys behind me shouted out, 'walking'. I stared at him.

You won't regret it. Especially not the bobcats comic strip.

I also get annoyed if their story makes no sense, like if you have your character be an identical sister/brother to another character, but have the two characters have different fathers.

I don't mean in lieu of sentence structure, but rather odd word choices here and there, like there/their/they're. Also, I try to always be respectful about things like grammar because it is a very tricky thing and also, there's always a chance that the person whose story I'm reading isn't actually written in their first language. English is complicated and also, I'm one of the first people to absolutely admit that you can have the best grammar in the world and if you a shitty plot or horrible characters, it won't save the story. You have a great plot going and you write your characters beautifully. You can't fake that.

I mean, I'm not perfect by writing and to be honest, I use cheat sheets for some things. Theoatmeal.com has some hilarious grammar stuff if you'd like to look at it, even just for a laugh. He also has other things that are just hilarious. I kind of want to have the site maker's babies. It's a problem.

At this moment, I just want to have the game just to play it no matter what because I loved Arkham Asylum so much.

Currently though, my dad is obnoxious and since he helps pays my bills decided he gets to decide what I spend my money on, refuses to let me buy Arkham City because he recently bought the anniversary edition of Halo. ._.

YAY for comics! :D Do you ever play Arkham Asylum or Arkham City (I need to get this one so bad)?

Also, have you ever watched the Joker blogs? If you haven't, you should. They're brilliant.

    No problem!

Thank you for writing a genuinely good Joker story. So far you seem to actually understand the Joker in a way that most writers on mibba don't and it's so refreshing.
