Hi, and thanks so much for the comment on my story and the nice things that you had to say.
I just wanted to say in my defense, I wasn't trying to overplay the abuse card. I can think of tons of other reasons she might be depressed, but I suppose I needed something extreme in my head to make her want to leave with her friend. It is only a one shot, so the emotions needed to be strong enough to cause the suicide attempt and all that good stuff. I agree that abuse is used somewhat to the point of nausea with some writers, idk I just felt that that medium was the right way to go.

But I thank you again for your criticisms and compliments and I thank you for taking the time to read my story in the first place. (:

    Sounds awesome. I've never been.

Surprisingly, the North can get pretty hot during the summer. The hottest day in New York last summer was in the hundreds (like 105 or something). The only thing is their humidity isn't half as bad.

Oh, it's not a problem. You can always just leave profile comments or messages if you want. I have another reader who does the same thing. Plus, I know you read them. You've commented enough times in the past and such.

I would never be caught dead in a coconut bra or a hula skirt. Mainly because I'm a crossdresser, but also because that'd freak me out. xD I suppose I'll stay reticent and hide in my bungalow. Then occasionally come out and save kittens.

    Haha, yeah I am. :]

I love that about poetry too. It's great that the poetry contest is so popular...it's nice to see the poetry section being active.

Depends on how many kittens are in the litters. The average is about four I'm guessing, so four times three times five. That's only sixty points. We're talking about an entire year's worth of bravery points! Haven't you ever played video games! And how is going to Hawaii going to earn me anything other than a fairly kickass tan and an awesome hula skirt? xP

I knooow. But I'm a shy motherfucker. Posting that comment on your picture used up all my bravery points I'd accumulated within the last year. It's gonna take forever to get those back. Like, roundhouse buttkicking and serious leveling if I even want to make headway. I might even have to jump in a volcano and rescue a kitten. I tell you what, that'd at least get me five.

No problem, it was gorgeous and I think the way it can be interpreted in a number of ways is really great. It gives the poem a lot of freedom and meaning. :]
