That's sounds good, that way you can maintain writing, and also have a sort of back up. I've been thinking of doing something similar, but I don't know what yet, beside the english major thing of course.

Yes, exactly. I'm always trying to better my writing, but the fact remains that it is a really risky career choice. Same here, I've always wanted to be a writer, well, I became serious about at 12. I think, as long as you have a passion for something it's worth doing it. That's why I may be an English major in University. I'll definitely root for you on your path if you choose to become a professional writer.
