Exactly! uglies has something about that:) Though uglies are people just like you and me who just think they are ugly because of that Pretty operation and the standard and impression that your not beautiful untill you've had it.
Never would i want to be a pretty.
Yea i think youll enjoy those books(and possibly chunk it across the room).
Lol i know i apologized to the book afterwards so were cool now X)
When its everywhere you go its hard to ignore. dang media and what they try to make us is everywhere, even at the grocery store bleh.
Oh, I think about that those things far too often. It's amazing what power the media has over us, you know? Why can't we simply ignore it? (though one reason is it keeps getting shoved down our throats...)
Its a really interesting book :) i got mad at what happens and threw the 3rd book at the wall but its still a good series and makes you think about a few things in our world. Including authority control and the secrets and lies that they feed lol
Well its basicly a story(4 books) about uglies and pretties and of corse its in the future. Regular people such as ourselves are considered uglies and even live in a different part of town untill they turn 16 to have the Pretty Operation. The operation makes you perfect in every way, height, skin, voice, hair, just perfect. It also does something to you once you have the operation done. And one girl finds this out after her freind runs away, in fear of the operation and that shed rather stay the way she want. Its pretty good. Its by Scott Westerfeild. Or Westernfeild. Something like that. :)
