I know what you mean. As we mature, we have to learn how to deal with more difficult problems. A two-year-old's problems are nothing compared to a twenty-year-old's. But it's relative, as a two-year-old doesn't have to worry about college or money, or whatever else. It is hard to live in the 'real world', but it's better than shunning it and pretending nothing exists outside of your bubble. I guess it is all part of growing up. (:
I suppose it depends on your family or friends and their positions then. If your parents had been employed, they may have been able to help you and life would've been different for you. It would've been different if your cousin's family had been in a bad situation financially. However, I don't think it's right to say that teenagers' have no problems because they do. Most have problems, and it's rare that you'll find a teenager who is very happy. Their problems may be different to yours, but they still exist.
Don't their families help them with anything?
When people leave school here, it isn't much of a change in their lives, unless they leave the country. Things are pretty much the same for them, except they work or go to university instead of school. Of course, lots leave home, but that's always difficult. Over all, the transition isn't that hard.
The prequel can't be written until you get to where you see Mello and Near, then you can b/c it'll make sense... The prequel was a novel written by another person... The thirteenth book is for informative purposes; telling you about their troubles, the characters, etc... and the sequel I haven't read yet. And Light is extremely crazy. o.o

I was pretty excited when I first joined, too. But I didn't really do much the first couple of months. Originally, I had just joined to read stories, and maybe post a few things. I'm a lot more social on here now, though. :)
