Oh, I wasn't trying to say you were copying it... it's not exactly the same, just thought maybe it was loosely based on it, or that you might be interested in it if you hadn't already read it :)
That's fine. I mean, when you approach a subject like that, and you're supporting one side of it fully - it's always best to remember that people might not think the same things as you, so you have to kind of manipulate their thinking by using arguments they would support. And that way, it shows you have a better understanding of the issue/topic, and that you've put a lot of thought into it and all.
Haha, I'm glad.
So out of curiosity, does he hang out a lot outside of his tank? Like can you take him to the sofa, and watch movies or something, and have him stay?
I did give you tips. I told you in the comment on the article to use the interview with the person you said you were going to use, I told you to use more sources that weren't supporting your view, and then show how your research could contradict those things...those were tips.
Either way, you present an argument, it's not always meant to be personal. That's how arguments lose their steam. You were so biased that you didn't use accounts of the other side of the argument - and that's what I was doing right back to you through my comment. If you don't present both sides of the story in an article - then expect people to jump the gun and defend those sides you're not alluding to whatsoever.
Doesn't matter that it got you a 100% in your class - I don't know what that class was or how the grading worked. It's high school right? Well, University/College...arguments like that wouldn't get you a 100% - and that's where I'm coming from.
And like I said - and you mentioned in the article - there is a gene factor, it's an addiction and sometimes it's the withdrawals and insanity taking the person back to drink - not oh fuck it, let's have a drink yeah? I feel like you should give your mother at least some credit for at least staying sober for a year - it's not that easy when most societies are drinking societies. So, it's all very well to say I was biased - but I was biased because your whole argument was biased.
