Yeah, I guess it makes me tougher skinned in ways. And thank you, I am really glad good came of it too, otherwise a lot of my life would've been wasted.
Yeah, I am holding out for that. But I doubt I will be able to move out of this town for a few years more. Either way, I'll be happy when I do.
Well, I just ignore the ones that try to get in my face about it, and take joy in the fact that it's spread about that I'm 'weird' and 'psychotic' because then more won't talk to me, at least.
I'm pretty used to a life of just me, my family and my internet friends. I've had that life ever since I was 11. And before that it was just me and my family ever since we moved here (When I was 6). So, being alone a lot isn't a big deal for me, isolation is what got me interested in learning and writing; so I don't feel bad about it at all. Who would want to have friends if they were all you could choose from?
The only problem it poses for me is when I have to get a job, because I have no in person social skills, and I really don't enjoy interacting with other people face to face since it has brought me only snide remarks. But I guess I will have to grow up and stop clinging to hiding away with only those I choose eventually.
Basically the same here, except they're uneducated drug addicts/alcoholics who have sex with just about everyone they know. And if you know how to spell correctly or read at all, then you're an outcast. Oh yeah, and apparently if you don't like being left alone by your family/people you are comfortable with, then you need to be 'seen about'. Needless to say, I have no friends in person >.>
Well, I've actually been to very few places in the US other than my own town, so I don't really know XD
But in my town it is cooling down as-well. I live 20 miles outside of a town of like 1,00 or 10,00 people, whatever it is; it's small and ill-organized. We don't have most the things the smaller towns do. But the one thing I can respect about my town is that most of the original buildings from the start of it (In the 1920's) are still here and have just been renovated into stores and such, so it looks quite nice. But you can hardly get anything here unless it's farm equipment and the people are pretty much judgmental idiots *sigh*
