I'm sure it will. Just play a few and you'll know right away. Well tuning your guitar in Drop D would be: D A D G B E and Drop C would be: C G C F A D. But it's up to you if you want to change the tuning to something else. I'm just suggesting that you give it a try. Hope that helped.

I have a lot of guitars that probably cost more than my braces. One is worth 5,000 or something in the lines of that and the cheapest one I have is $500. People say I'm crazy for spending so much on guitars, but I don't think they'd want me to get started on my other instruments O.O
I have two acoustics, two electrics, bass, and an acoustic-electric one. Those are sweet chords, you could tune your guitar into a drop C or D and see if you like how those chords sound in different tunes. I'm glad to help. =D

Yeah I do. Once you get the hang of it, you'll get better. Here's how you could get started: Pick a few chords, Make sure they sound good together. Remember, don't pick them out of random, they have to match. That's what I tell my students (I taught a bit before) and you don't necessarily have to strum all the time. You can arpegiate (picking, if you know what I mean). Making a song isn't that hard, you don't really need lyrics. Just start on a few patterns first, okay?
