i can understand your motives, tho. it's not a bad thing, but you're right, at least you get to see the kid at all. that really is better than nothing. how old is the little girl?
Hey I promise I will get to your comments on your stories soon! I have an exam on Monday and Tuesday, so I've been trying to manage studying and everything. I will get to it for sure Tuesday evening though!
I mean reading is good for the mind, so that's never a bad thing. But I'm sure either way you'll decide on going or not going, you'll be content. I think the thing I love about TaeKwonDo, at least at my school, is that it is so community based and it's like being part of a whole different family there. I've got a very small family so having that community of people there for me has helped me through a lot. But I still find myself looking for a kind of community that is like a book club, no such luck yet but maybe soon.
It's very fun to do! I have my 3rd degree and have been doing it for 12 years now. It's fantastic! I've always loved it. I used to do dance (mostly for jazz, but they still made me do ballet and tap before I could do that) and I liked TaeKwonDo so much better! Did you ever do any sports or anything?
Yeah, that is true, but still. It's so long it threw me off guard at first I suppose.
That's good that you can spend time with your son! Is that him in your pictures on here? If it is he's awfully cute, but I do love kids! I teach summer classes at a TaeKwonDo school that I go to near me and I just love all of them to death.
I've thought about doing comment swap, but the first story it suggests to me is soooo long. It's like 8 chapters.
Oh, I feel like being a receptionist would be so much better than fast food. People are so rude to fast food workers all the time. I never understand why and I always feel bad when the workers seem surprised that I say please, thank you, and use my manners. I don't know why people are so rude to workers all the time.
Ohhh. Yeah, I'm sure that'll be fun whenever I even get to moving out of my mom's house. I decided it was best to just stay with her when I'm going to a local college; dorms are expensive! But I'm sure you'll get settled soon!
And yay! I love having people read my stories. Great way to find out if it sounds okay to me, but maybe not as much for other people. I also like that it gives the opportunity for growth of my writing skill :) What do you do for a job?
Oh? Did you recently move? Still packed up in boxes then?
Also if you are in the mood to read something and would like, I always welcome you to come read my stories at any time...granted, some of the older ones have a different writing style, you may like them!
I haven't heard Quizilla in a long, long time. My goodness, I had one of those way back when. I tend to be more of a silent reader, or at least I used to be, but I'm trying to be a bit more verbal on here now that I'm back, but I'm not very critical still; I post mostly on stories that I really love and really am invested in reading more of. I tend to write more than reading. My mom always said it was because I was left handed, but there's never been a time when I didn't want to write. I would write the crappiest stories when I was 7 years old on notebook paper. Now, I'm starting to discover that I need to have confidence in my own writing for others to be invested in it. So generally, not to sound arrogant, but unlike most authors, I think that most of my short stories are pretty good. But I mostly think that because when I write it tends to pour out of me, and even I am amazed at how far I have come and at the way I word some things.
I'm a bit of the opposite, but it's mainly because I don't have the time to get into a very involved adult book and not to mention they're longer generally. Though I did think that the Peculiar Children trilogy book by Ransom Riggs read a lot like an adult novel rather than a young adult one, but that one was very good. It's supposed to be coming out soon as a movie with the best director for it: Tim Burton! Perfect fit in my opinion. But anyways, did the writing or reading aspect bring you to Mibba or a little of both?
I personally never liked the nicknames Kate and Katie. I think they started sounding more juvenile as I got older so I strayed far away from those. But besides our names, what else do we have in common? What genre of story do you like the best?
