It's so much easier to write about stuff you know so well instead of attempting to come up with a situation you don't know much about (but is possible with research into it) When you live the situation you're writing about, you can put so much more thought and detail into it :)
And yea, it sucks, but I'm sure I could probably create another thing like it some day

I always wrote about what was going on in my life, and I always changed the character's names. If something bad happened, I always wrote it into a story leading up to that moment and then I normally left it like that just to keep it open for an ending later on. I created this one story back in gr 8 (so long ago lol) that my LA teacher really loved, and he wanted to keep it and use it as a sample text for people to read over to prepare for short story exams. I was so happy. I just wished the school hadn't wiped the computer server before I saved all my documents on their computers

I feel the same way about writing. You could write in anything and take away anything you didn't want there. In all reality, you basically were "god" haha :)

I don't really have any stories I've written recently... I more or less stopped writing long stories back in gr 8. And some short stories just revolved around a subject in my house so it probably isn't that interesting. but if I plan to post I'll ask you to edit for me! :)

I have the exact same bad habit, which is why I don't post stories... Cause re reading I'd find waaaay too many more than likely. So I'm sticking to writing what's on my mind, cause in journals it doesn't really matter what the writing style is :)
