Thank you commenting on my story 'Splinter In My Eye'. I'll make the necessary changes like what you've suggested.

Actually, I did explain about the time-shift in my author's notes. The song lyrics are used as dividers as I wanted to differentiate the scenes. The scene between Shane and her ex-boyfriend was included in the middle as a flashback on how happy she was with him.

There was a line in the song which says Lips pressed closed to mine, true blue. I wanted to make her look into his blue eyes and then kiss him. Her ex has blue eyes whereas the new guy has brown eyes. I know it's a bit confusing, but I hope I've cleared that with my explanation.

Nonetheless, I'm glad you enjoyed the story despite the confusion.
