Ouch, that sucks. They plowed here Sunday afternoon but everything is one lane so that sucks for trying to get through town.

It was the same. Ugh. They didn't plow my street for two days. I was so confused.

Where I'm at in Pennsylvania, we got around 34-36 inches of snow. My poor husband was shoveling for two days. My work didn't even close, so driving in the aftermath was horrendous. Hope all is well with you!

I'd say that my main character went through more trouble than it was worth as a result of getting pregnant so I really don'f see how I glorified it.

Thats true. I know a few teen moms better than my own mom.

She is actually pregnant so I wouldn't say so. She is entitled to her opinion but the singling out wasn't called for.

Oh wow! That's ridiculous! But I was so excited about my daughter. It's a baby. Not a bomb. My parents are completely supportive and my boyfriend and I have been together two years. People think all teens can't raise babies when in fact, some are better than parents in their late thirties! Every story has it's own style. She should mind her own business. If she doesn't like it, she doesn't have to read it. Does she think all teen moms should be unhappy and get abortions?! Because if so, I would love to have a chat with her.

How is posting pictures of your pregnancy on Facebook glorifying teen pregnancy!? That is just stupid. Facebook is for sharing personal things with friends and being excited over your baby is not glorifying teen pregnancy. I don't understand, it's like people think girls don't have a right to be happy about their pregnancy if they're young.

The person who accused me of glorifying it was actually talking about one of my other stories but I thought I'd post that authors note in case anyone wanted to say it about "That Girl" also. I don't see how I glorified it in my other story. I think that accusation was made based off the fact that the main character was happy about her baby and had reasonably supportive people in her life. Not all girls are thrown onto the street and dumped by their boyfriend for being pregnant.

I agree that it was rude, not because she had an opinion but because when she ranted about things she didn't like in a story she indirectly wrote a whole paragraph specifically aimed at mine only and not teen pregnancy stories as a whole. Every point she made about my story is something that most other stories are guilty of too. It was unnecessary to single out my story.
