I've always had awful insomnia - I lay in bed last night at three am going for 'an early night' and was still staring at the ceiling three hours later, I didn't even fall asleep until eight. I hate nights like that; I was so sure I was going to get some decent sleep for once, D:<

Well that's kind of what I mean. I'll listen to a band so much that I get to a point where it'll be at least 3 or 4 (or more) months before I can actually enjoy listening to them again.
I started watching it because someone on mibba had a profile layout of a couple from a DW spinoff (Ianto and Jack from Torchwood) and I fell in love with them together. So then I watched all of Torchwood and after that I found out it was a spinoff of a show called Doctor Who and I figured, "well if TW was so great, the original show should be even better" and I then started watching DW.
I've turned two of my friends on to Tworchwood, but neither of them have gotten all the way through those seasons, let alone start watching any DW. And that's kind of disappointing, because the only person that I can discuss DW with is my dad's girlfriend, who I turned onto DW about a year ago.

Ah, well I often wear myself out on bands just by listening to them too often, so I knew I would if I wrote about them too often as well, haha. "Times New Roman" was the first actual DW fic I've wrote, but the show has inspired me otherwise in my writing ever since I started watching it (which has to be, like, two and a half years ago)
