Meh, all I know is the boring Texas plains, that wouldn't make for a good story. xp

Ah mermaids sound awesome and definitely not cheesy! I'm so into things like that actually, but with school and stuff I don't have much time to read about anything I'm interested anymore, and this summer I don't really get much free time unfortunately. xp But it sounds cool and if you post it I'll definitely check it out. And yeah well you always improve in writing. My friend and I started our story almost two years ago and I can definitely tell that we've both improved a whole lot from when we first started, so I think it's good to stop and come back to something once your skills get more developed.

Yeah some of mine are too haha, my very first one wasn't even as good as what I can do now and it was before I even got into poetry. I just think it's a lot simpler than story writing but more ponderous because nobody knows exactly what it's about unless you tell them and even then it's up for interpretation by the reader. I try to make mine relate to anybody.

Well I've always been up for more experiencing things first hand than just reading about them, though a lot of research is important to me too. If I'm going to write a story taking place in some part of the world then I have to go there and experience it before I can actually write about it. I guess I'm just weird like that haha. xD

You mean the story I'm writing with my friend? Well it's actually from this conversation we were having one night about two years ago. It's kind of our own version of Alice In Wonderland and wasn't even intended to be a story when we had the conversation going on. xD

Wow that's cool. And yeah I know what it's like with unfinished stories, I start millions but I lose interest or get writer's block to quickly. What's your novel about?

Well right now I'm writing a fun, little story with one of my best friends on here. I've been writing since I was little haha, it's always just been my thing. Usually it's just poetry now, but I want to start on an actual story once I'm more experienced with the world out there other than where I live and the few places I've been.
