You're right; Elias shouldn't be talking about Nick the way he does. He just doesn't understand why people choose to end their lives. He wants to save everyone. But he's crossing a lot of lines in this story.
Veronica is going to cause trouble for him where Nick is involved.
Hey I'm a bit late on the uptake because it takes me a year to do anything, but I went to check out that story you mentioned in your blog and couldn't find it?
@ arthur dent Yeah. I liked the ending too, even though it doesn't end traditionally, I think it might ruin it if it did.
When I read Hikikomori for the first time I really related to it, and I know that it's probably the weirdest thing to relate to, but there's a lot of bits in there that are really true and relevant once you look past the craziness
@ arthur dent I think I may have been on Stumbleupon when I er... stumbled upon it.
I don't know. I think they're seriously crazy but that's never really answered. There are some things, I think, that are on purpose. Like how Ellen constantly lies to Tao (see pretty much every Hamster conversation), and Tao tries to manipulate Ellen (the whole tao's sony robot dog subplot which was obviously just a game to watch Ellen freak out) But If you're looking for closure you're looking in the wrong story. It just ends.
How did you find it? And, are Ellen and Tao seriously this pissed or are they faking it? Pissed meaning crazy. I'm nearly done with it. I think I'm going to cry into a bowl of soy beans and cauliflower.
@ arthur dent I remember when i found it somehow and I messaged my best friend like "HOLY HELL OH MYG OD THERE IS THIS THING READ IT READ IT NOW" and he was like "????" but then he read it and he was reading it like "what. wh- i... what? oh my god. oh MY GOD. oh. jesus. okay. wow. fuck." and then we spent four days talking conspiracy theories and plot and character development it was pretty rad. i was on goodreads reading reviews for it and some people, lots of people actually, hate it with a passion.
@ arthur dent Yeah. I suppose. Well I'm glad I told you to read Hikikomori, I almost didnt because I thought anyone else might think it was just insane nonsense.
