    I didn't really want to portray Gia and The Painter's relationship as anything like love, he feels a yearning for her and she sees him very much as a father figure and misses his as one.
    I honestly did not do any research on PTSD before writing this and now looking at it it does relate back to Gia and I was just trying to portray how much of a struggle it is for her to get by because of how much he's done to her and changed her.
