I understand that. It's just that if they meet him and say that he and I can't date, I'd really be unhappy. I could always date him secretly but I'd rather they approve of him and actually like him.

I'm trying to think positively but I know my parents and since I know how they'll react, it's really hard to think positively.

I hope that things will work out too. He's a really great guy and he actually likes me. I don't even remember the last time a guy liked me.

Oh I know that. But she and my dad don't know that. They think they know what's best in everything...which they don't. And yes, you can give them a lecture :)

I haven't approached them specifically about Travis. But I was talking to my mom the other day what it would take for my parents to let me date someone.and she told me then went on to describe her version of "the perfect guy" aka the one they'd like and approve of. Travis didn't fit in the least.

That's exactly right. They expect me to date someone (and this will be my first boyfriend) that has goals in his life and he has potential and he's a "good" kid. I'm not going to fucking marry him. And even if for some weird strange reason I did marry him, I wouldn't give up my hopes and dreams because he doesn't have a life plan.

Umm, I'm not sure if he knows the extent but it's something I will have to tell him about in order to prepare him. I mean seriously, they're super pissed at me right now because they found out I cuss. They're crazy.
Thankfully, I was able to smooth it over and be like "I have a problem, I know. And I'm working on it and I'm sorry." And it seemed to appease them. But I just can't handle them sometimes or live up to their expectations. They're expect me to be perfect.

And my parents do consider sex a bad thing. They expect me to wait until I'm married.

I can't see him forcing me anyway. And he knows that I don't have a lot of experience with guys so I don't think he'd try anything because he's such a nice guy.
I probably could date him in secret, but it would be hard since we work together and since my parents work there too and people talk at work, ti's going to eventually come out.

Haha yeah my parents would want to make sure that he's not a "bad" guy and that he wouldn't try to "force" himself on me and force me to have sex.
I think I should be able to do what I'd like too. But no, that's not the case. According to my parents, as long as I live with them I have to follow their rules and meeting potential boyfriends is one of them. :|

Yeah. No drugs, no alcohol, never had sex, etc. Those are the answers he'd have to give even though I know for a fact he does the first two. Well, he only smokes pot, he doesn't do any hardcore drugs.
Idk, even if I helped him out with answers I still don't think they'd want me with him.

I did tell him I'd help him prep for questions I know they'd ask him. Like if he's ever done drugs, if he drinks, and stuff like that.

He's great. But he still has to pass inspection by my parents if he wants to go out with me. And I have no idea if he wants to even go through with that. Because "passing inspection" means him coming over for dinner or something like that and my parents asking him questions.
ANd I really don't think my parents will like him... D:

I'm pretty good. Grounded so I can't hang out with my boy but other than that I'm good.

I'm actually getting a ton of sleep though but it sucks because I won't sleep during the beginning of the school year!
