Just that, really. I've never used them myself and I've been on here for a while, too. Mostly they're just like little fragmented blogs, or notices, things that you want to show people but don't want to make a separate thread for; videos, songs, little snippets about your day, rants. Mostly rants, actually, from what I've seen.
Anything and everything it wouldn't be appropriate to make a thread for, basically. Things that are exclusive to YOU.
