That's the hard thing about writing stuff like this, all the baby does in the first trimester is the developmental stage. Spinal cord, eyes, ears, immune system, etc.. Nothing "exciting" starts happening until about 16 weeks (average for finding out the baby's gender).

I was also thinking a girl! It just seems... right––for lack of a better word.
My original plan was to follow time, but I don't really think that would be good for the story. It would just kind of... drag it out, I suppose. I actually have no clue what happens during the first trimester of pregnancy, since I've never been pregnant, and its been over a year since my nephew was born so I don't remember much from my sister's appointments that I attended, so I found a pregnancy calculator and it needed a due date to work, that's when the plan came in.
