    yeah. i don't think anyone really knows why, but i think it's something medical. if you read their interview in AP, he talks about how he's blind in one eye and deaf in one ear, and he's losing his hearing in his good ear because he's in the band, and he can't fix it because he doesn't have enough money BECAUSE HE'S IN THE BAND. it's seriously such a vortex. :(
