Oh okay. That makes sense. ^-^ I was writing last night, and I realized it helps when I add more verbal interaction. I tend to make them pretty blunt when speaking to each other. They seem more aloof that way.

Oh yeah, I know what you mean. I can get a bit carried away with that sort of thing too. Just try and think of how friends would describe each other. Less is more with friendship.

I actually ship them together so that also may be part of the problem. /.\ I get a bit carried away with detail and description at times. In the first chapter, they are actually on a ferris wheel. I guess that sets a "romantic" scene. Therefore, I'll have to be extra careful. I don't typically write stuff like "he's so pretty i want to kiss him" but I do describe him as delicate a few times. I do that because in my story, one guy is being abused at home. The two guys are supposed to be childhood friends. Someone told me that they could be somewhat closer if they were. I'm the type of person to ship every guy with the other. ^~^ So when I read over what I wrote,
I thought it was normal. When some of my friends read it, they kept asking me if it was gay. That's when I realized it was fluffy. :3

Hm...that can be a bit difficult, because different people have different ideas of 'friendship'. There are people that think it's all friendly until there's dick in butt, and there are people whoops me that do more of the OMg ThEY'RE IN THE SAME ROOM THEY'RE SO IN LOVE
But really it's best to just think about how guys you've seen interact with their friends, because let's be honest, girls can get away with a lot more girly feeling-y stuff before people start getting ideas, so basing it off your own friendships can get a little farther into gay territory than you intend. Guys tend to be more...aloof, I guess? I don't really know how to explain it, but just make sure that they're not too focused on each other. Like if one is comforting the other, that's good, but make sure there's not too much like "aww honey it'll be okay I love you" omg look at his breathing his hair is so soft kind of thing. I'm sorry, this is probably more confusing than helpful. >.<

@ shinigamiroulette I was wondering how you differ male friendship from male relationship. I'm currently writing a story, and everyone tells me it seems the two males are either in a relationship, or attracted to each other. I don't blame them, I have a rather girly style of writing. But, that's not where I wanted to go with the story. I have asked others advice, but they weren't helpful whatsoever. They just told me I could make them bro hug or something. I'm pretty much making one friend comfort another, nothing further then that. You're just so amazing at that, so I was wondering if you could help?

Awww, haha. If I start writing something I generally have to finish it in one go, or else it'll never get done.

And same if I don't feel like writing I can't, and if I try it sucks really badly /.\ though there is a oneshot that I started in October. I really want to finish it by Christmas. I can never finish anything either xD

Really? All the stories I'm subscribed to on here post like every couple days and I really have no idea how they do it. cx It takes ma forever just to get one chapter down - if I don't feel like writing, I just can't.

No prob :3 and I really wouldn't know either. Haha I don't know how you get your stuff done so quickly though. I haven't posted anything yet because I can never finish anything. It takes ne forever to get one paragraph done.
