Hey again, love! It's your friendly neighborhood grad student swinging by to thank you for once again taking the time to comment on the latest update of Slip! It's so encouraging to hear how much you enjoy the story, and it's especially good to hear that the pacing and the flow seems to still be working. Coming back to this after so long, it's been a little difficult to try to slip back into the writing style/tone of this work, so I'm glad the pacing and whatnot seems to be working!
And haha, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed Matt's role in the latest chapter! I think we were all kind of getting tired with some of the back-and-forth and miscommunications, so it made sense to me for Matt to just be like "fuck it. i'm done." Definitely doesn't mean his meddling will pay off, necessarily -- we're gonna have to wait for the next chapter to see how that all works out -- but I'm glad you got a kick out of Matt's actions in this chapter, at least!
I'm hoping I won't keep you waiting too long for the next update, but just as a heads up, I do have a few competing projects all with major deadlines in the next 2-3 weeks. So... that means I'll either be MIA for a bit, or oddly prolific while my brain refuses to work on essential projects with actual deadlines and instead just keeps spitballing ideas for story updates, haha. Could go either way. xD
But yeah, thanks again, friend! Your comments are much appreciated! <3
Take the time you need and don't feel rushed. Its enjoyable to see updates but its important to take care of your needs first. :) Also, I get the feeling it won't be as easy as locking them in a room. They are both too stubborn lol. Your pacing in this story is fantastic. If I hadn't been following the story, I wouldn't know how long the time is between chapters. It's continuity is great. Good job!
