It was really cool. We used the scrip from the movie so we were allowed to swear (well I wasn't *grr* Eamon did enough swearing for me though) and I got to slap Eamon. But the end was soooo sad!!!
Did you get the first name? Me Da's racking his brains trying to remember at the moment =)
='( OMG I am in floods of tears when I watch The Wind That Shakes The Barley!!! I start crying when Damien starts writing the letter to Sinead, and I don't stop until the credits finish!
I'll ask my Da when you remember his first name =) He and my uncles have a really good memory!
See when our school put on our play it was Michael Collins, and I was Kitty and my boyfriend Eamon was Mick ... and at the end I wasn;t acting, I was ACTUALLY crying. That's how bad I am =)
... :O
Wow! Sorry for the bad news =( I hope he broke it to you gently!
What was his name? I'll ask my Da and see if he knows anything - see if my family recognises the name.
And my great great uncle died in your county! I've been down to Beál na mBlath and I cried my eyes out =( You should have seen me when we watched the movie in History! Bronagh and me were in tears!
Haha no kidding! I'm calling one of my girls Saoirse as well! I was called Fionnghúala (Fionnuala) because apparently it can be a form of Frances, and that's my grannie's name. Máirghréad (Mairead) because it's my other grannie's name and my mother's middle name, and Saoirse because I come from a long line of Republicans =) My great-great uncle was Michael Collins, believe it or not!
I know loads of people whose middle names are Mairead =)
My two best friends are Bronagh Mairead and Caoímhbhe Mairead.
And I know a Brónach Mairead and a Aoife Mairead. It must be incredibly popular!
I know no one else with my other middle name, though: Saoirse. I only know people with it as their first names.
Omg, that sounds awesome^^ lol,
I'm doing pretty good, how about yourself?
I would've replied yesterday, but it is kind of hard for me to get online Sundays.
=)
Hello, fellow Irishperson =)
It's nice to see someone who's IRISH, not someone who thinks they're Irish because they're great great great great great great great grandmother's pet budgie was Irish =)
Did you get the first name? Me Da's racking his brains trying to remember at the moment =)
