@ Lily Barnes Lol. I feel that. It's the worst! Especially if you're like me and you post on multiple different sites. And then you have to travel and edit in like 5 different places. And at that point you're just like "Fuck it. I'll change it when someone points it out."
@ indigo umbrella Yeah. Just recently I needed to change the time of year of one of my stories, so I had to go back and find where I'd mentioned the month earlier in the story where I'd posted it and it was a huge pain
@ Lily Barnes Exactly! And I'll write something at like the end of the story that changes almost everything. So you have to go back and fix all the plot holes it creates in the beginning. So it's easier just to write it all it one go and then fix those things while you edit for updates.
@ indigo umbrella Hiatuses suck. You feel guilty for leaving your readers hanging and then the guilt makes it harder to write and you get stuck in the not-writing loop.
@ Lily Barnes Dude, I have to. Lol. I change stuff around so much. Sometimes I end up rewriting the whole story and then I have like 2 year hiatuses. It's the only thing that keeps me from doing that. I try to avoid updating unless I have a more solid story structure, except for contest entries (because of deadlines).
Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it! Ahahahaha. I'll have the next one up soon! I've just been distracted but now I'm hoping I can get back to writing it. ^.^
