Actually, the story takes place in Chicago, 'cause that's where the team is, but one of the guys on the team, Patrick Kane or "Kaner", who is in fact the boy from the prologue, is from Buffalo and my character is from Rochester, which is where I grew up :)

HEY! Thank you so much for your comment. No one has ever offered any problems/suggestions before. I think I was going for something comical there. Connor is usually trying to lighten situations and he was just making a point that he's not upset that he's dead.

Since we're not sure at this point if this is all Evan's imagination, or actually Connor talking to her... we're supposed to assume that he knows he completed suicide and he does not regret his decision.

I'm sorry it was sort of confusing. Sometimes I forget that other people cannot get in my mind. I hope this clears it up, though you may still be unhappy with that line!
