yeah, i kinda lost my interest during my LONG break last year. but i realized i missed it too much so i started writing again. and yes, quizilla is being such a douchebag. i hate the new site so much. it's so....bleh. i'm still getting used to mibba.

i've been pretty good. i only have three days of school next week and then we're out for the summer so i'm really excited about that.

    how've you been?

I have been a bit busy too so no worries.

That's interesting. Coincidence is spelled so weird....I agree.

    Blue is brilliant! *dances*

My mother watched a documentary or something one time...something about the brain or something similar. Anyway...she was telling me about it. "I thought of you when the narrator was talking about the brain waves going straight to long-term. You have no short-term memory; you're not normal." Of course, she meant me not being normal in the sense that she thinks I'm brilliant....(but I'm not).

Exactly. See, I know that eventually I'll run out of my surplus of bought books. So when I go to the bookstore and am trying to figure out what to read, I can just pick up The Host and be like "Oh yeah....I wanted to read this" instead of hanging around for a few hours and then getting a book I don't really want to read. Typically I'll have at least one book on reserve (in my mind).

I know what you mean. I just started thinking about things and everything I know already has like a new meaning. It's pretty frightening to think of all the authors I won't read, the songs I'll never hear. So I'm trying to become more "enlightened."

My mom used to call me E on like notes to her family and stuff. EL are my initials actually.

Blue is an awesomely great, wonderful color who everybody in their right mind (or not) should like. Blue is my favorite color, closely followed by aqua.

    Yes. Mind on reserve.
I can be extremely stupid sometimes, but my friend (?) Brandon insists I purposely act that way. I would say there's a difference. It I were acting, believe me, it would be tons worse.

I used to have a friend who liked yellow. And there's this girl at my school who really likes yellow – I think because she likes to be known.

I was about to buy Host, but then I was like, "I can buy it later. Why pay 20 something dollars for one book when I can get at least two?" So I got The A.B.C. Murders by Agatha Christie, Just Listen by Sarah Dessen, Atonement by Ian McEwan, and an origami book. It was my birthday May 1 and my father just got me my present(s).

Libba Bray is a pretty great author. She's written a series – the Gemma Doyle trilogy – set during the late 1800s in England about a girl who has these visions. It's actually better than I'm making it sound. Anyway. . .the first book in her series is A Great and Terrible Beauty.

I'm not up to much. I'm about to go to sleep actually because I have to return to school tomorrow. *sigh* I didn't go Friday because I went to a funeral . . . so I sort of had an elongated weekend.

What a coincidence! You're from Louisiana and I'm ...not? Geogia here. No similarity.

Blue is awesome. Reading, writing, books, music, and equality are all great too.

I agree that pink is an awful color -- talk about sexism. Why should baby boys be identified with the color blue and girls with pink? Because blue is "stronger" and pink more "sensitive"? Pssh, yeah right. Maybe parents should just start dressing their babies in yellow.

Stephenie Meyer is awesome, though I don't obsess over the Twilight series nearly as much as other people do.

Have you read Libba Bray by any chance?

I'm Elisabeth by the way, but you can call me Isabel, Lizz, Ellis, or just some random name you make up.
