lol ok, from now on let's just type our minds since we both type pretty long stuff.

Don't think when you write poems, just feel. You are soo lucky to live in the woods! I live in a suburban town on Long Island New York, and the only nature I get is in the park or kinda in my backyard. I like to read too. I'm the idiot that reads in the dark at night in my room after my mom yells at me to go to sleep. I use the lighting from my iPod :) . Reading is amazing....it's better for me than dreaming and hoping, because that usually concludes to the fact that I most likely won't get anything I wish for. My iPod is the one thing I would take with me on a deserted island if I couldn't take anything else. It's my best friend. It won't even betray me. I know I sound like a total nutcase, but I think I lost my mind a little while ago, so you'll just have to get use to it. lol.

Yes, I definitely know what you mean. However, you are more of a poet than I am, I think. For me, poetry is just to tell someone when I don't have the guts to do it myself (like you said) and it makes me feel good. However, it doesn't completely take the pain away. I'm more into music. I sing, and that makes me feel better, especially when I'm singing alone, singing through my tears. When I can't do that, I listen to music and it makes me feel better. It keeps me from having a relapse. When I can't do either of those, I write a poem. It sometimes at first comes out as a song, but its still very much a poem. If I can't do any of those things, I write part of a story. Either I add to Licking Walls:New Edition, or I work on my newest project that has yet to be ready to post. I feel lucky to have so many ways to deal with things, not saying they always work, but it's better than nothing, you know? Like the only way some people can deal with their lives and problems is through maybe drugs or hurting themselves even worse than I ever did, or whatever else.
