Aaaaand super delayed response, but I also wanted to thank you for your comment on the previous chapter of Slip. I know it took me like two years to get around to responding, because I've just struggled so much with that story lately, but I still really appreciate your kind words! It means a lot to know people are still missing the story and looking forward to seeing what happens next. I hope I don't keep you waiting nearly so long next time, and hopefully none of the updates disappoint. (:

But, in Zacky's defense, it is kind of a hard thing to all of a sudden get over. We're talking about something he's believed for more than ten years, now; something that's hugely changed his life and pretty much become the basis for his relationship with Ava over the years. It's something that he believed right down to the core, something he thought he had years of proof over. It's not something that he can suddenly forget or have a lightbulb moment over, you know?

You're definitely right, at least about the fact that if Ava was punched for waving at Johnny then the punishment for being in a relationship with Zacky would have been much much worse, and even possibly life-threatening. Probably, actually. I won't confirm or deny your suspicions about how the whole note thing went down, but I will say that it is definitely a logical explanation, and you're the first to think about it that way.

As to the bored comment, I have to say that you are also the first to look at it like that -- possibly because you seem to be the only one right now still trying to find a loophole for Ava -- but, again, I'll only say that it definitely is a plausible explanation. What's not plausible, though, is the evil twin thing. xD Haha, I'll go ahead and let you know that there is no evil twin of Ava out there. I would never be able to keep up with my own story if there were two Avas. xD
