You commenting on my song? Thanks for the suggestion, I'll attempt to edit it. I'm not really that good and all, it's my first song that didn't sound like a cheesy saturday morning cartoon theme song.
thanks for the advice.
i'm afraid I'm a bit of a "closet" writer though, not many people knew I loved to write until an article about me came out in the school newspaper, and even still I'm really, very shy about it. It's so personal to me, and I can't imagine sharing them with even some of my closest friends because some (stories, poems, etc) contain so many secrets.
And without meaning any offense at all to my friends, I'd have to say I have the highest level of vocabulary because I'm always looking in the thesaurus when I write stories. When I use "big words" my friends just give me strange looks.
But I'm trying to improve, read deeper things, older literature. Siddhartha, The Old Man and the Sea, Crime and Punishment, How Green Was My Valley, How to Kill a Mockingbird, Shakespeare- my school has required me to read them all.
But none of that has lead me to a better understanding, a better way. I must be reading wrong, or something. I just am starting to think that as much as I want it, I just don't have that natural writing talent that some people have.
thank you for the comment. I dont really want to commit suicide as much as I just want to die...not by my own hand...though if I were to die it would be an overdose..caused by me..so haha ima fucked up. But thank, I very much appreciate your comment
ha I have plenty of poems about the lack of control I have on my life, but they are mostly a jumbled mess, nothing like yours.
I wish I knew how to write like you. I mean, not EXACTLY like you- I want to keep my originality... but it's just that you and a couple of other people on this site can write in a way I just CAN'T. Like, my writing is so obvious, so blunt, more direct thoughts than it is of poetry. And yours is more cryptic, deeper.
I don't know how to write like that. It just comes off as fake when I try.
They're pretty good, they sing/play Irish folk music, sorta, but they also do some really classic songs, I think that they rule, my best friend has been obsessed with them for years :)
Yeah, I love MCR, I'll read your poems later but if I read them now I'll probably pass out in the middle because I'm really tired right now, so I'll probably comment on a few soon!
Classical music rules, but I like Irish folk music more :)
xD
