I think you have it confused about America...I'm pretty sure that punk is very much the same here as it is in England. However, just like anyhere else in the world, there are those ignorant people that find music that is any louder than Justin Bieber to be heavy metal. Therefore, when one person describes something as "punk" or "pop punk", those ignorants will assume that any music of that nature is described as "punk", even though they've never really heard the REAL punk music that inspired these bands they listen to now.
If you ask a One Direction fan what punk is, they will say Green Day beacuse they don't know any better.
If you ask a Green Day fan what punk is, they'll say something like the Sex Pistols, Op Ivy, The Misfits, The Casualties, The Ramones etc.
And no way in hell is that different than any other country that listens to these artists.
I hope I don't seem snappy or rude, because I'm not offended or anything, I just have strong opinions. (-;

Thank you for commenting on my story. And I know people in the UK don`t celebrate Thanksgiving. I realized that when I came up with the idea for the story. But I came up with the idea around Thanksgiving so I decided to say "fuck it" and write it anyway.

I kind of want a ring on my lower-right lip, but I'm not sure if I want a ring or just like, a stud. I know that has a specific name, can't remember right now lol.

Why do they hate them? I mean, are they religious and just detest most of that stuff altogether, or just straight up hate stuff like that? Lol. My dad's like that, he doesn't much care for piercings or tattoos and has never had any. My brother was covered in them though, I think it pissed him off for awhile lol.

Myself, I can't have any piercings or tattoos until I turn 18, which is in January. I could probably get my ears pierced, but that's it. Nothing else he would pay for, for me or anyone else in my family.

I already have a bunch of tattoo ideas in my head, I just need money to pay for them Plus I want my lip pierced, but I want to buy a fake ring first to see if I like it before I decide anything permanent or where I want to put it lol.

Quitting smoking I could maybe understand. Was it like cigarettes, or something else? Not my business, I was just asking. But yeah, I could understand talking to someone about quitting that.

Tattoos and piercings I can't. Lol. What do you have pierced right now?

Oh okay. My parents would kill me if I ever pulled a stunt like that. LOL.

Did your parents knew you drink that young, or...? A lot of kids around here, mostly in high school, their parents will let them drink, as long as they can do it with them, I guess so they can watch their kid's intake or something. I never understood that, honestly, though I can kinda get what they'd do it.

And I think that depends on where you go lol.

Drinking just never seemed like something that would interest me. I'm not saying there's not the chance I might change my mind and try something down the road when I'm legal, but right now... it just doesn't interest me. My oldest sister drinks. She's not an alcoholic, she doesn't have a problem or anything but she likes to drink and have fun. Nothing wrong with that. But my parents, we don't keep alcohol in the house like that, so it's not something I watch people do, you know? So it just doesn't bother me to not have any lol.
