I give people a lot of leeway when it comes to grammar and spelling etc. I'm not perfect and I know being Australian, that I spell things different to americans all the time and have to rely on spellcheck to change it so i dont have Americans telling me I'm spelling things wrong D: And it's happened :(
I'll let them know its bad if its like "n h3 wa5 lyk3 0mG and lyke lyke." lmfao. Not that anyone talks like that in a story, or at least i hope not XD
Detail isn't anything to be concerned about, personally I love detailed stories so long as they're written well and don't read like a shopping list: ie "She showed. She dried her hair. She put her mascara on. etc etc"
