Ohh, I see. That sounds like an awesome show :D
I'm really surprised at Brand New's audience. There are a handful of guys in my class (who I suspect are only into rap and heavy rock), and they list Brand New as one of their favorite bands. I was like "Whaa?!". I never really looked at them as a "hard alternative rock" type of band, especially since Deja Entendu and then TDAGARIM...They just seem more, sort of..."poetic rock" I guess. I don't know, maybe that's just me.
I can officially say I'm jealous XD
I haven't yet, but I plan to see them the next time they come to Philadelphia, or anywhere remotely close :D
Were they really good? They seem like they're a super awesome live band to me...
I think it's really quite beautiful for the story, for one. It adds character. And for two...I've always thought scars were beautiful anyways. You're welcome, lovely.
Not weird at all, if you ask me (which you didn't, but still.)
I think it's majorly awesome how you did that. A lot of people write stories on here about lost loved ones but none struck me as powerfully as yours did.
Fantastic job, continue writing :)
I just loved the idea of you dedicating a whole story to him about that song and his life.
Brand New is a powerful band, their songs "You Stole" and "Jesus Christ" are amazing in terms of meaning, just like your story is.
And it's not generic. It's real, so that definitely helps.
your welcome. i know that story was for your own personal needs and you can really tell, the emotions behind it are crazy insane. i really love it and i feel so awful about your loss.
I'm not sure how I feel, I got into TBS afetr John and Shaun left so it's pretty weird but, they're great musicians and I'm sure this new record with be epic shit,
I was like O_o over it...
Wow, just, wow... (and not in a good way)
