which means the same thing in French

I just had my embarrassing moment too...
So here it goes:

Right, I was listening to Tokio Hotel's Ich Liebe Dich.
I never really bothered finding out what that meant until today.
So I googled it and found out it means "I love you" in German.
Then I went on Facebook and changed my status to:
"Raych is saying 'ich liebe dich' to everyone :D."
Yep, exactly like that.
About 15 minutes later, a guy friend commented underneath it with A WHOLE BUNCH OF GERMAN!!!
My jaw dropped and I quickly copied the text of German and put it on google translator.
Guess what he said?
(These are his exact words, in translation)
"....I love you too?"
"Are you the type of person that puts random languages as your status?"
Oh I might as well let you see his original text:
".....Ich liebe dich auch?"
"Sind Sie der Typ in der Regel zufällig Sprachen in Ihrem Status? not sure how to write status haha"
I FELT SO FREAKING EMBARRASSED!!!
This story tells us never put up a language that you're not familiar with as your status whatsoever...
By the way, I replied:
"dude, i take french as an elective, not german... i was just listening to tokio hotel's song... -_-" now you make me look like an idiot :p"
