    Yeah, many people believe that God is just there to tend to the needs of others. For security, comfort and something to fall back on. I believe that it's simply a psychological manifestation of the mind, that is created by people who seek out something much greater than what they are. For example, people wont worry if they've got God there to ''guide'' them. It's almost like a cop out, "God's got my life planned, I needn't worry."

    I mean, have have ever heard of Karl Marx? He claimed that religion was simply the ''opium of the people,'' and that it was created purely to keep people in their place and to control the social masses. Which, is understandable if you think about it. Take those people who are basically on the verge of death and suffering extreme poverty, yet they believe in God still? It doesn't make sense; an all-loving God, yet he allows people to live like that? So this, the problem of evil, is counteracted with the idea of the after-life. They are promised eternal paradise there, and that they'll never suffer again. So that's why the lower class people tend to 'stay in their place.' If they don't, then they are going to Hell.

    Well the air conditioning is out as of yesterday, and most of yesterday it was stormy, so it was alright. But now I just can't even force myself to put pants or a shirt on, neither can Seth or Teej. We've even nicks'd the sock rule. And we always wear socks in this house. Always.

    I've heard that tourism in the 80's was the very best, visors were in and fanny packs were the jam. 80's tourist is better than guy that doesn't bother to put pants on.
