I'm ridiculously sorry about how much I FAIL at responding in a decent amount of time.
I think my French teacher switches between several different novels and films each semester. One major aspect of the class is film studies--we watch French movies and then write about them and discuss them in French to improve speaking and writing. My favorite is "A la folie... pas du tout." Have you seen it? It's so disturbingly excellent...
How was your Christmas?? Mine was quite busy. My family is made up of movie buffs so we saw everything we could... Up in the Air, Sherlock Holmes, Nine, Avatar, the list goes on... plus we watch Half-blood Prince on DVD about eight times.... :-)
Yay! Le français est que je parle le meilleur. bien agréable pour vous rencontrer claire. son aller très bien parce que je havent a été vidé pourtant LOL. comment de vous?
Nooooooo... if RG had died... I can't think about it.
Oooh a not gag-worthy dance team?? Success! I have faith in humanity again. And then I see my school's dance team and lose it. Sigh.
Yeah I'll most likely take this French level again next year. My friends in the class who are juniors like me are going to as well. Sadly, despite my very strong French background, I need all the help I can get....
Half-Blood Prince comes out on DVD in December!!!! I will get it and watch it over and over and over. And maybe I'll just watch any scene with RG a couple extra times.
RG is amazing!! He's in an ice cream truck in that picture...two of my favorite things.
Ahhhh and you were trapped in a car with him! That's terrifying! At least you could pull some judo on anyone who tries to do anything, right? :-D
The dancing is horrific. I've never gagged so much in my entire life. Really, all they need is a pole and these girls will be well on their way to a life of one dollar bills stuck in their minimal clothing. Thanks for the tip--I've heard school dances are ridiculous. I'll stay away. I'm not very social anyway haha!
Yes. Please strangle those people. I'll assist you.
Yeah, my brother is a year older and a grade higher, but we're the same level in French so we're in the same class. It's mostly seniors in that class, like Samuel, and a few juniors, like me. Everyone's like "ahh native French speakers!!!" and I'm like "hahaha..... not really. Failed native French speakers is more like it."
Yep, everyone is fine here. Thanks for asking! My grandma was having a really hard time, as expected, but she's doing so much better now. She tells us stories about her and my grandpa when they were younger all the time! I think she makes up half of them, but I like it that way.
I'm loving public school so far! People expect me to try out for dance team since I'm a dancer, but that is NOT the kind of dancing I do... my goodness... if anyone wants to see young women move like that, they should go to a strip club. I can barely watch without gagging. At least, this is how it is at my school. I'm not sporty at all, so I'm not on any teams, but I did join French club and creative writing club. Plus I'm in creative writing class this semester, so that's cool! But my teacher in that class is really sketch. He told me my hands were small and delicate. It was a very violating experience. I'm in French class as well, and my teacher is a friend of my mom's, and my brother is in that class with me, so it's nice to have people I know in that one class. But I've made friends! I am not a social outcast! Victory!
well i would take up your recommendation, but considering that I live in Kansas City, i might find that a bit difficult :) besides youd never find me up at 4am lol. ive been alright, just started high school, its already a pain in the ass.
Whoa... I'm sorry. Glad to say I wasn't in a coma, but my grandfather died (very old, with serious lung problems, I'm glad he's not in pain anymore) and it put a lot of stress on my parents cause they didn't know what to do with my grandmother. So my house has just been crazy hectic because we went to stay with her for a little, then she came and lived with us for a while, then we helped her move into a nursing home, etc, and I can't say any part of the experience was pleasant, and I don't think I went on the internet for anything but schoolwork in a month. :-o I go to public high school now though! My mom couldn't handle teaching all of us when my grandmother was here, so my brother and I are in real school now. I like it A LOT. No more little siblings! Plus I'm pretty ahead from my homeschooling and I'm doing well!
How are you???? I feel so bad for not getting on here...
