I find it best to just take a break sometimes, like you said and to try to figure out whats best with YOU for a while instead of whats best for everyone else. A refresher always helps.

Not a one shot! haha because I figured if I had some of it up then I could get feedback or whatever, and I'd be more motivated to do something with it rather than if I was the only one who was reading it.
