Lol, I have no idea. In all honesty, we don't hear that much about the winter games here because winter sports just aren't very big. Our snow season is literally only about 2 months long, 3 if it's a particularly cold year. We only have about 3 kind of biggish snow fields (maybe 4 I'm not sure).
I doubt Australia on the whole cares enough about the winter games for it to be ever held here (I literally didn't know there even was a winter Olympics until I was about 15). But when the Summer games are on you pretty much cannot escape from it. It's on all the time and it's hilarious how suddenly people are so into things like pole-vaulting just cause some Aussie might be able to win a gold medal and conversations suddenly turn into 'We've got more gold's in swimming than America' and crap like that.
Woah really? I read your journal, left that comment, then googled "things to do when you're bored." There were some funny ones like try to hold a note as long as you can and act like a car.
My family usually throws a small party, we set a table outside in the backyard and eat. Then at 12pm the fireworks. I stayed until about 3 in the morning playing cards with my cousins. Pretty cool stuff. xD
Bah, I don't mind being alone, the point is that I can't walk the streets alone without fearing something might happen. Haha.
o.o I'm glad there's a place like that.
For me, a normal life is a life without worries. Without having to worry if someone might come into the house and rob me or kill me. I want to live in a safe enviroment where I don't need to fear being alone. But that's just my definition of a normal life. Haha.
