Okay I am pissed. I had a perfect comment on what to do and what do I get? Error! Ugh! My phone is pissing me off. But anyway, I'll try and put exactly what I wrote here. Again.

Hun, I think the best thing to do is follow your heart, as cheesy as it sounds. If you miss him so much, tell him that you miss your close friendship. Tell him that it's awkward at times and to forget that day. That you want things to go back to normal. But if you like him to much to do that, then tell him how you feel. Exactly how you feel. Evan if he doesn't like you back. Sure, there might be some days where you might pop out your men, Ben and Jerry (or if you like Häagen-Dazs better, that'll work to) and have a marathon of either chick flicks or your favorite TV show (mine would be Supernatural and Glee) and cry, but in the long run you'll feel better cause you told him how you feel and you won't sit there wondering what would've happened if you didn't. And you'll never know maybe he's harboring feelings for you since then.
And another thing you should keep in mind is, let the chips fall as they may. What's suppose to happen, will happen. If you're not meant to be together, you're not meant to be. But either way, something good will come your way.
