Well, thank you for liking my writing and I seriously don't know when the next update will be because I have it half written, but I came to a stop where I don't know what I want to write.
I've always loved English and I'm learning it from age 7. My dad paid for private English lessons.
Wow, love your new profile page! Absolutely gorgeous. ^_^
Right, ok... for capitalisation, I'm pretty sure you always capitalise the first letter in a speech mark. Where I'm not sure about whether you capitalise is where the speech runs on from a previous part. e.g. I'm not sure whether it should be:
"Now, do you think," she said, "That I can finally get a cup of tea?"
or "Now, do you think," she said, "that I can finally get a cup of tea?"
I think the former is the more appropriate, but I'm not sure. If it's a simple:
She said, "That's good."
Then there should definitely be a capital, and the same with:
"That's good," she said.
As to the semi colon, there's a good article here:
http://writinghood.com/style/grammar/proper-use-of-the-semi-colon-four-ways-to-use-semi-colons-in-sentences/
The wording is a little confusing at first but the writer gives really useful examples of just about every instance you can use a semi colon in.
OH NO NO NO! I wasn't talking about you hahahah. Yesterday I was reading another story, it doesn't has anything to do with you, it had 10 stars and I have seen it around a lot so I started reading it. The rest of it I explained.
Aww and thank you for reading. I really need to work on my writing though, it's so flawed. I like when a story flows and I just can't get quite get that effect yet. Maybe that is just me because I write them, or maybe it's true. I really want to improve.
hahahha so I'm gonna delete that message from my about me. I don't want anyone else misunderstanding me. :D <3
there are a lot of good reads out there and I am not a grammar freak. I don't notice the smallest mistakes. I don't go around telling struggling writers their mistakes. If you read my story comments you will know that I always support them. But it's obvious when people want to put description and when people don't care and just write simple, pathetic sentences.
I already said. My stories aren't near perfect. I find flaws in every second sentence and I am like: "What a piece of shit!".
What that message on my profile means is that I spent 2 hours reading a story on mibba, a story with a great mystery but it was so poorly written, it ended up making me stop reading it and wonder what the secret was. And as the story developed it started filling up with stupid cliches I already mentioned. That is what I wanted to say. :D
hahaha yeah yeah I know, they spoke it in Shaman King a lot and I was like: why do they use it so much. I found out that it sounds idiot but I read like many comments from people learning japanese that it was a big offense blabla
Eeep, I feel so loved XD You like writing chapters just so you can see whatever randomly sprouts from my fingertips onto the keyboard and thus, into the comment box? XDDDD
And I am...off to read the new chapter ^^
Haha yeah! I just make collages in picnik and it makes like four or three automatically evenly spaced and it looks better i think :) Haha yeah weheartit is kinda dumb being slow but it's the only site i use
Dude shut up! I love their language! And my brother is like: "all the Asian languages sound the same to me."
They do not! Take for example the Japanese vs Chinese. The Chinese is filled with short words that are not even close to my liking, whereas the Japanese is filled with longer, softer words. I too want to learn it and yeah I am lazy too. But I fairly doubt there are Japanese Lessons in my country. In Macedonia, languages like those are viewed as complicated and unnecessary. Most people only learn what they will need in life. And I will not need Japanese but I would like to learn it. I took some online lessons and thanks to those I know how to introduce myself, how to thank you, how to sing and how to insult people hahahaha. :D
it`s fun to read :)
