Okay.... this morning I wasn't at home; I was at the mall, with my mom and brother. We were shopping for Christmas Eve. Then, I came home at 12:30 and ate until 1 p.m. then 1-4 p.m, I took a bath and cooked the dinner. Then I slept until 6.

Okay. This smiley describes me;

Anything glass or stainless steel is preferable when you've just stretched up a size. The problem with acrylic or silicone is that they are porous, meaning it's easy for bacteria to get in there and then causes infections. I wear glass almost all of the time anyway, simply because it cuts down on what we call "ear cheese" (white gunk you might have noticed - smells horrible) but it is healthier regardless.

Silver rings are okay, depending on what size you are. The bigger the size, the less of a good idea it is because the metal will be heavier. It's okay to wear them once in a while, but if you wear heavy metal rings in your stretched ears too long they put stress on the bottom of the lobe, which can cause thinning.

If you can't buy the right-sized plug until next week, don't use the taper until next week.

As soon as you get the taper all the way in, and therefore have reached the size of the taper, you [i]immediately[/i] switch it out for the plug. But remember - if it hurts, something is wrong. Stop stretching, clean your lobe (gently, just with water - if you have sea salt or seawater spray, though, that helps) and either sleep tonight with nothing in the hole, or put the jewelry you were wearing before (the smaller size) in. I suggest the former, most.
