i know that i've bashed nothing personal, but it's the record that i don't like. live, they sound absolutely amazing. but i think on the record, they sound so fake and studio-ish. it's obvious how much they've been tampered with in the recording studio compared to how they sound live. i'm not into the whole synthetics and computerized scene (disregarding my love for owl city, only because a.young is so good) but i do like them live. np sounds good live.

Yeah sometimes I do feel more like a reader than the author. lol.
Umm I don't really know a name for Jenny's power. I just asked Catherine to tell me what she wanted her characters power to be and she chose that it's based on Anne Rice's The Witching Hour I believe.

Aw, thank you so much for the story comment! It was really sweet, it made me smile :] And ahh don't worry, after that story's finished there's always my other stories :P They're on Alex, but in my opinion the writing is heaps better, and I like to think they're a lot more original. Jack is my cliche story, haha.

Ohhh, I get what you're saying. But if you think of it, every chapter in every story ends in a cliffhanger- I mean if it ended all nicely and content, what's to keep the readers wanting to continue the story? :3
Plus if I don't leave myself little cliffhangers I get bored of my own story and not want to write it. /:

Thankyy for commenting!

And as for it ending soon...
Now just yet.
This is by far my fave story, and when it's done (which won't be for a long while) I'll start new stories (probably fanfics) that I'll love just as much.

I find I update them more, and have better updates XD

I'm pretty much of the mindset of "there is no bad music, there is just different tastes" - that being said, this new "crunk-core" or whatever the hell they want to call things like Millionaires/BrokeyCYDE needs to end. Quickly.
I bring that up because of what you mentioned about pop-punk taking on a more pop influence. I think it's just been the evolution of the bands themselves as they grow and change as musicians. I personally LOVE a good pop hook (stress on the word good; as opposed to say, generic).
There is no real 'original' anymore; like in the Weightless video - "ATL rips off FOB so bad" "FOB & ATL rip off Blink" and so on and so forth down the line. Someone's always done it first as the genre has evolved into something newer. Change and growth doesn't bother me - it's when it's done in a abrupt about face from something totally different in one album that I raise an eyebrow.

I've never really noticed what music I've latched onto of a band (ie: earlier, later, etc). If it's a band I love I'll probably like their entire catalog on a whole (with some exceptions. I'm not afraid to say I dislike something a band I love put out. I still wanna smack the shit out of Taylor Hanson for the monstrosity that is "Fire On The Mountain" on their most recent album). I think the reason "Grave" is my favorite (Folie a close 2nd) is because it came out in a time of my life that I needed to hear that album.
I don't have a favorite ATL album really, though Nothing Personal I think is amazing. They haven't really written a "pinnacle" album yet (although I'm sure the 'old school fans' would claim Put Up or Shut Up is). Which is good for them actually; Fall Out Boy will never top Take This To Your Grave to their diehard fans. They 'peaked early' (to steal a line), despite getting better as musicians/songwriters.

Ok, this probably wasn't nearly as cohesive as it should have been. but it's 12:30 and I have to do laundry before leaving at 6am to go down to Baltimore for the weekend.

Ok - first of all, I'm very glad you like the story. I appreciate your reading it. :) Breeda and Alex are slightly messed up - but it's applying the old saying "you have to love yourself before you can love someone else"

Now...However, I think you might have missed the point of my comment. When I say, "Nothing Personal" is ATL's "Cork Tree" - what I mean is, that this is the album that will launch them mainstream. It's already happening with "Damned" hitting 67 (last I checked) without being released to radio.

Cork Tree (their 3rd full length btw) is actually, probably the only Fall Out Boy album I could take or leave. I have no real opinion on it as an overall album. Some of Pete's best lyrics are on that album but as a full piece it has never touched me. But what that album did do is launch Fall Out Boy into the public eye and give them their first top 10 single (Sugar). Nothing Personal is an album that is full of singles - and that's is what I meant by "Their Cork Tree" - this album is going to shoot them skyhigh into fame. Which is what they wanted, so good on them.

Your age isn't listed so I have no idea when you potenitally began listening to these bands - I'm a new All Time Low fan, I'll admit that. However, I've been listening to Fall Out Boy since their inception. I own a copy of their first EP. The reason I mention that is that I've seen the evolution of their music from the beginning. It's been a much more extreme change then All Time Low has gone through.

Folie a Deux was a cohesive piece of music - Patrick wrote that album focusing more on the music then anything else. Each song flows into the other, while not "seamlessly", with enough similarity that there is no abrupt jump between tracks. There are ebbs and flows to each song that subconsciously make you realize why the next track was selected to be placed where it was. Meanwhile, Infinity on High was more about Patrick's voice above all. Infinity was practically R&B influenced (as that is the tone that Patrick's voice naturally has)
Pete's lyrics of course play an important role through each album; showing his maturity and growth as both a lyricist and a person in general with each new album. Folie, as he expressed himself, being focused less on "Pete Wentz" and more on the people that surround his life. It's their stories through his eyes.

Taking all that into consideration - Nothing Personal is nothing like Folie a Deux. I love Nothing Personal a lot. I think it's a brilliant pop-punk record, but even it's musicality couldn't touch Folie's. For example, "Too Much" into "Keep The Change...", there is such an abrupt difference there that the songs read like two tracks on an album, not one piece of continuous music. And the comparision between So Wrong It's Right and Infinity on High - again, two entirely different albums musically. Though I will give you Put Up or Shut Up/Take This To Your Grave, in as much as they are both basic pop punk albums. Both very very good, but still very coralled into one genre without the reaching that subsequent albums did with both bands. (And "Grave" is my favorite FOB album)

And that's without really getting into the lyrical differences between Alex and Pete. My friend said it best, a lot of "Pete" is in his head. Meanwhile, Alex it appears has had the experiences to go along with the words (or he's a phenomonal storyteller).

Now, this might come across as a 'rant' and it's not. This is just essentially what I do and talk about and consider in my everyday life and well, this is what I do.

Ahh, I know what you mean. I wasn't quite sure what to expect from hearing Weightless and Damned, but I love the cd so much now. The only thing that pissed me off was the song Too Much. :/ But aha yeah, sometimes things just have to grow on you after you listen a few times.

Wow.
Your comments make me smile so much, and it made me excited that you feel that way (Even though, I know what's going to happen)
I hope everyone else is going to love it. As I said, I'm not too sure if everyone will.
You were right, I'm absoulutely working on everything, its insane, I have so many ideas and thoughts and right now that I'm also having trouble putting idea to paper.
You should write one, judging by the amazing comments you leave me constantly, you're an excellent writer, so put it out there and people will love it.
Over here, its 5:08 pm, on Sunday, the 5th of July.
Sorry if that's confused you, international time confusing the shit out of me.
I'm also watching Aussie Rules Football (The game where they dont wear padding and stuff)
You're right, it is really hard trying to make these stories 'American authentic', and I've done a lot of reasearch, about american drinks, and holidays and food and seasons and stuff. It's still hard for me to comprehend that you guys finish your school year in June-July, or winter in Australia, where we are only half way through our school year.
That's also why I like to put Australian characters into my stories, it makes it easier for me, and I get to put a little bit of my culture into the story (Even though in reality, they're not that different)
You go to church? Everyweek? That's so cool.
Over here in Australia, its not usually done anymore, we are growing up without religion, though we do have Christian/Catholic private schools, but I go to a public school, and was never brought up to be religious.
SO, anyways, thanks for your wonderful comments again! (I think I did a bit of my own rambling this time haha)

oh my gosh, so i read your comment and i was like...yeah, i know that's how it spelled. and i went back to what i wrote and saw that i had written 'mae' and i was like....i definitely did not mean to spell it like that.

i guess it's because my friend always spelled her name like that so i got used to it. but i know, it's definitely may. i've seen her twitter as well.
